original message:
Aloha,

I know the Coronavirus has taken over many conversations and effected the actions people are taking, so I wanted to reach out and keep you updated as to the status of the SKIES Dance program.

I have not, at this time, received any information from Army Garrison advising us to cancel classes. I fully intend to continue holding regularly scheduled dance classes unless I receive instruction to do otherwise. Please check with each of your SKIES instructors for what they have personally chosen to do with their programs at this time.

As always, please use your best judgment as a parent when it comes to the health and well-being of your child. Do keep in mind that children come into close contact with one another during dance class. Even before the appearance of the Coronavirus, SKIES policy has always been that if your child is experiencing the symptoms of a cold or flu we would prefer that you keep them at home until they are symptom free, so as not to spread illness to other students, as well as to heal themselves quickly.

We will continue to be as thorough as possible with wiping down and sanitizing all equipment and common spaces.

Please check the official CDC website for information on how to handle virus symptoms: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

I have not yet received confirmation one way or the other concerning our projected performance weekend of April 25/26. I am hopeful that we can proceed with this. You may continue to make show attire payments. If the performance cannot take place at all then payments will be refunded. If the performance is pushed back to a later date and you will not be here due to PSC then only those payments will be refunded. Monthly enrollment payments should continue to be made through the CYSS offices for now.

Mahalo for your continued support. Stay healthy!
Ms. Susan
